Jesus Today: Devotions for Kids {Book Review} ~ Simply Jennifer

I want my boys to get into devotionals more, learn more about how Jesus and God feels about them, that's why I was happy to receive Jesus Today: Devotions for Kids by Sarah Young.

It includes 150 devotions along with quote pages and a Scripture Index in the back. It also has over 365 pages.

I let Austin review this since it's recommended for 6-10 year olds and he just turned 11 in December. But I'm sure any age above 6 could read it, words are big and page are short making it easier.

Austin got comfy on the recliner and just had at it! He got up to Devotion 10 in one sitting before he stopped. I'm glad my boys like to read, makes me proud.

My two favorite quotes from the book:

I keep the Lord before me always. Because he is close by my side I will not be hurt. Psalms 16:8

and

I can do all things through Christ because he gives me strength. Philippians 4:13

I like how small the book is and how big the words are. I like how it says when you're worried don't go turn to the tv or cell phone, turn to me. I think that's what most people do today, they avoid God and Jesus thinking that he can't help, when he can.
