Having a very particular child with Aspergers Syndrome can be pretty hard. They seem to not have any emotions unless their toy breaks. They have meltdowns over small things, but big things don’t seem to phase them.
Their little tics can be bothersome, like picking acne on their face until they bleed, or bumps on the arm from mosquito bites until they bleed, or even humming 24/7 (exaggeration).
But we as parents deal with this all because we love them and only want the best for them. We worry if they’ll grow up and be able to hold a job, find a girlfriend, get married, and have kids. No one knows what the future holds for my son.
