Well I am now 215 lbs.! I can’t believe I've lost that much weight already. Only 65 lbs. to go.
So this weight loss program through my husband’s work ends at the end of July, I’m really starting to get nervous about it to. I won’t have the shakes anymore or the meals, unless I want to pay out-of-pocket for them. I’ll be just drinking water (which I add Crystal Light to) and eating very carefully. I have to get used to watching my calories and make sure I keep my exercise going.
This week we were talking about how our environment affects how we eat. Like having fast food and restaurants on every corner is so tempting, plus if you’re just getting off work or in a rush and either don’t feel like cooking or you don’t have time you’re most likely to stop at one of those places. Just think, a Big Mac from Mcdonald’s is 530 calories, plus 340 calories for medium french fries, and a drink which is 140 calories depending on the drink that you get, that is over 1,010 calories. A regular Whopper from Burger King is 630 calories then add medium fries at 410 calories and then a drink, that is over 1,040 calories, just in that one meal. Now if you get a Mcdonald’s Premium Bacon Ranch Salad (no chicken) that’s only 140 calories depending on the dressing you use, then get a Diet Coke with 0 calories, that’s only 140 calories, you could do that for a whole week and still come in less than the meals above at 980 calories.
Wow, that is such an eye opener! I can’t believe I’d been doing that before I started the HMR diet.
Now when we go out I will get a salad and this very good dressing from Wendy’s called Light Honey French, oh my gosh it is sooo good.
Do you like taco salad but want to stay in the healthy zone?
Well here is a recipe for Chipless Taco Salad:
[li]2-3 cups of lettuce[/li]
[li]1 HMR Turkey Chili meal[/li]
[li]1-2 tablespoons Salsa[/li]
[li]1-2 tablespoons of Light Sour Cream[/li]
First, put your lettuce in the bowl.
Second either heat your chili up or use it how it is, either way tastes good.
Third, put your choice of salsa (I used ChiChi’s Mild) on top.
Next, top it off with Light Sour Cream.
Enjoy!
Well that is all for now, if you decide to try it let me know.
After reading my posts every week, have you changed anything or thought about changing your diet? Tell me in the comments what you thought of the burgers' calories, did you know that it was that much?
